700km 214 Summits 25 Days
Come mid June 2017 I will embark on the challenge that most aim to accomplish in a lifetime: to complete the famous summit bagging of Alfred Wainwright's 214 peaks of the Lake District.
Come June I will set out unassisted in the back-to-back summiting of the 214 Wainwright peaks. With no published route, this epic romp will see me self-navigate the 450miles averaging up to 20 miles per day. With a total ascent and descent equivalent to 5 Mount Everest’s, my aim is to complete the challenge within 25 days.
Being unassisted means that I will carry all my gear with me, from tent to toothbrush. Along the way I shall not be taking any form of transport, just the wind and my legs to carry me!
